Turkey will continue to inform Russia and other interested countries about the course of the operation in Syrian Afrin, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Saturday, noting that it is important to preserve the territorial integrity of the UAR.
The Turkish General Staff announced on Saturday the beginning of the operation “Olive Branch” against the formation of Kurds in Syrian Africa. The operation began at 14.00.
“Goals are struck from the air and from the ground, and we are doing all the steps in consultation with our partners. As for the reaction in the region, Syria will, of course, oppose Russia has already made statements. We are informing Russia and other interested countries of all our steps, and we will continue to inform them.We have warned about our concern, our goals are clear, the attacks are aimed only at terrorists,” Cavusoglu said on NTV channel.
