“No Arab country has spoken against Nicolas Maduro. Some countries have expressed a kind of solidarity, the others have remained silent … I think it is related to the position of Venezuela on the Palestinian file,” he said.
He recalled that Jordan has approved his appointment as Venezuelan ambassador on 23 January despite the Venezuelan crisis, which he says bears witness to Amman’s support for the current President of the country.
“This means that the government of Jordan has shown its gratitude to the government of President Maduro,” he said.
