Britain’s prime minister Theresa May, said on Monday that her country is seeking to establish different and fruitful relations with Russia, not to return to confrontation and the cold war.

May said:

“This is not the situation we want to be in, neither the relationship we want with Russia. We do not want to go back to the Cold War or be in a constant state of confrontation. We must be careful, but we also want interaction.”

There is another path. Many of us look at post-Soviet Russia with hope, and we know that Russia is strong, prosperous and rules-governed. This will be in the interests of Britain, Europe and the world.
