Wall Street falls on lower oil prices and losses in GE shares

A rally on Wall Street ended on Tuesday, hurt by losses in GE shares and a drop in oil prices that pushed the energy sector down.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 10.33 points, or 0.04 percent, at 25,792.86 after crossing the 26,000 mark in early trade.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index <.SPX> was down 9.82 points, or 0.35 percent, at 2,776.42.

The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 37.38 points, or 0.51 percent, to close at 7223.69.
