Iran will dominate many of Foreign Minister Rex Tillerson’s talks in Europe next week while visiting London, Paris, Warsaw and Davos, Switzerland, a senior State Department official said on Friday.
“It is inevitable that Iran will dominate many of the talks the minister will have with our allies in NATO and our partners in Europe,” the official, who asked reporters not to be named, said.
“In fact, we stress the need to coordinate with Britain, in particular, and France in our efforts to close the gaps (in the Iranian nuclear agreement) and in the next steps on how to counter the malicious Iranian influence in the Middle East. I think that will be a top priority in his discussions.”
