US intends to reduce spending on operations against IS in Syria and Iraq

UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The Pentagon plans to cut spending on Operation Unshakable Resolve against the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria and Iraq in 2020 to $ 6.9 billion.

According to the draft budget presented on Tuesday, the funds requested for an operation to combat IS are $ 2 billion less than in 2019, when it was allocated $ 8.9 billion.
