US-allies, the founders of terrorism — Iran

Sputnik News, Reuters

The United States and its allies were accused by Iran as the founders of terrorism in middle east and in the world. In response to the White House statement on Trump’s Iran strategy, Tehran stated that the US cannot evade its responsibilities by accusing others, Iranian state TV reports on Friday.

Iran vowed to retaliate against any action targeting its armed forces and accused the United States of violating the spirit of a 2015 nuclear deal reached between Tehran and six major powers.

President Donald Trump is expected later on Friday to take a major step against the nuclear deal, laying out a more aggressive approach to Iranian activities in the Middle East that risks upsetting US ties with European allies.

“Iran will strongly respond to any action against its military forces, including the Revolutionary Guards Corps,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi was quoted as saying by state TV.

He added that Iran would continue to expand its defensive power, including its ballistic missile program.

Earlier it was reported that Trump’s administration plans to change Iran’s “reckless” behavior, which presents one of the most dangerous threats to US interests and stability in the Middle East, a White House material on the issue, seen by Sputnik, reads.

“The reckless behavior of the Iranian regime, and the IRGC [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] in particular, poses one of the most dangerous threats to the interests of the United States and to regional stability. The Iranian regime has taken advantage of regional conflicts and instability to aggressively expand its regional influence and threaten its neighbors with little domestic or international cost for its actions,” the press release read.
