UK terror threat has been downgraded from Critical to Severe

The UK terror threat has been downgraded from Critical to Severe.

The UK’s terror threat level has been lowered from ‘critical’ to ‘severe’, Home Secretary Amber Rudd has announced on Sunday, as cited by Sky News.

It means an attack is “highly likely” and follows the bucket bomb blast at Parsons Green Tube station that left 30 passengers injured.

In the immediate aftermath, the threat level was temporarily raised to its highest level, triggering military deployment to free up armed police to patrol the street.
