Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim said on Saturday that Turkish ground forces would carry out “necessary activities” in the Syrian region of Afrin on Sunday, based on developments in the region.
Yildirim told reporters hours after the Turkish army launched an operation against a US-backed Kurdish militia in Afrin that the warplanes destroyed almost all of its targets in the area.
