The statements of US President Donald Trump and some American politicians are “endless in their illogiceness.” This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova.

She noted that the statements of US officials are often radically changed.

“These statements are endless in their illogic, groundlessness and variability. The statements of the US president, the head of the State Department, and official representatives of the US state bodies, they change endlessly, to the contrary,” Zakharova said.

This was a response to Trump’s statements that the US won in two world wars, dug the Panama Canal and “put communism on its knees.”

“We – the nation that dug the Panama Canal, won in two world wars, sent a man to the moon and knelt communism,” the US leader said on December 9.

Zakharova stressed that it is difficult to understand exactly what motives are behind such statements.

“There is only one question: is it declared for its political activity in order to somehow attract the attention of its voters, followers or is it the official position of the United States? It’s very difficult to understand this, too, “said the representative of the Foreign Ministry.

Russian senator Alexei Pushkov commented on Trump’s words and reminded him of the true role of the United States in world wars.
