Trump threatened to withdraw US deal on Iranian atom

US President Donald Trump warned on Friday that his country will withdraw from the agreement on the Iranian atom, if the European partners of Washington do not help in eliminating the significant shortcomings of this document.

“Today, I extend the suspension of a number of sanctions related to the nuclear program, but I do this solely for our European allies to agree to work on the terrible shortcomings of the deal on the Iranian atom,” he said in a statement.

“This is the last chance, if it is not possible to reach an agreement, the US will no longer extend the suspension of sanctions,” Trump added.

He warned that “if at any time I decide that it is impossible to reach an agreement, I will immediately withdraw from this deal.”
