Trump and his son got access to Wikileaks data in 2016: CNN

US President Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr. and others from the Trump Organization in December 2016, when Trump was a presidential candidate, received a letter offering access to the correspondence of the Democrats received by the Wikileaks website.

This is reported by CNN referring to the data of the investigation of the US Congress.

It is noted that the letter came to Trump and his entourage two months after the letters of the National Committee of the Democratic Party were published, and a month before the letters of John Podesta, the head of the campaign headquarters of rival Trump Hillary Clinton were published.

The letter’s author was Mike Erickson. The Intelligence Committee was unable to establish his identity.

Previously, the media learned about the connection between Trump and Russian social networks.
