The United States will have the armed forces that they did not have before, because today they need Washington more than ever.

US President Donald Trump addressed the journalists on Thursday shortly before the meeting with the US military leadership at the Pentagon.

“We will allocate funds to our armed forces, we will have armed forces that have never existed before, and all because we have never needed the armed forces as much as we need now,” the head of state said.

In mid-November, the US Congress passed a bill on the activities and financing of the country’s defense ministry in 2018. According to the text, the budget of the Pentagon should amount to almost $ 700 billion.

It also increases the number of US military forces by 8,500 servicemen, the Navy by 5,000 servicemen, the Air Force by 5,800 servicemen, and the Marine Corps by 1 thousand servicemen.

On Friday, as expected, the US administration will present a new National Defense Strategy.
