Trump, Erdogan discussed the situation in Syria: White House

President of the United States Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and discussed with him the situation in Syria. This was reported by the press service of the White House.

It is noted that the parties reached new agreements on joint struggle against terrorists.

“With regard to Syria, the two leaders discussed the importance of implementing UN Security Council resolution 2254 and supporting the Geneva process under the auspices of the UN for the peaceful exit from the civil war,” the White House press service reported.

Also, the leaders discussed the possibility of Turkey buying US military equipment.

Earlier , Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdelfattah Sisi also discussed the fight against terrorism in Syria.
