Trump climbs trade war with China

US President Donald Trump has announced an increase in trade duties on Chinese exports.

Trump wrote on Twitter that as of October 1, the $ 250 billion in Chinese exports will increase from 25 percent to 30 percent, and the $ 300 billion in exports from September 1 will increase by 10 percent.

“China should not have imposed a new US $ 75 billion tariff on US products politically,” Trump said.

Trump’s move came in response to China’s imposition of duties on US exports of the aforementioned size, in response to US tariffs.
