Secretary of State Rex Tillerson accused Russia of violating compliance with the UN Security Council resolution on North Korea.
“Russia renders great support to the resolutions of the UN Security Council. They could have vetoed them, but they did not. I think, as far as compliance with sanctions is concerned, this situation is not clear for us, how completely they are supported. We know that there are some violations, they are not difficult to notice,” Tillerson said.
According to him, Russia has a large labor market, which also gives jobs to “about 35,000 workers from the DPRK,” which contradicts the sanctions policy with regard to North Korea.
Earlier , Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia respected the sanctions imposed on North Korea, and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) does not accept Pyongyang’s claims to possess nuclear weapons.
