Three Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers near Gaza border fence (ministry)

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Three Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops in the northern Gaza Strip since 2007, the health ministry said on Sunday.

The Israeli army confirmed in a statement that it had fired from a helicopter and a tank towards “suspected militants” in front of the fence separating the Gaza Strip from Israel.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said “Mohammad al-Tramsi, 26, Mohammed Abu Namous, 27, and Mahmoud al-Walaydeh, 24,” were “shot dead by the Israeli army in the northern Gaza Strip last night.”

A fourth Palestinian was injured in the same incident.

Three rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards southern Israel on Saturday night, the army said, in the second such attack in 24 hours.

Israel and Palestinian factions in Gaza have fought three wars since 2008.
