UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Pentagon deputy head David Trachtenberg refused to answer the question about the possible expulsion of Turkey from NATO. According to him, the alliance should take such a decision.
“This is a decision for the NATO alliance. Turkey is a long-time member of NATO,” he replied to journalists when asked whether Turkey should remain in the North Atlantic Alliance after acquiring the S-400.
Trachtenberg added that he would not answer the question “what should or should not happen.” “It’s not for us to decide this here,” the Pentagon’s deputy head stressed.
