At least 27 Dead, 24 Injured after a gunman at Texas baptist church in Sutherland Springs in Texas, gunman shot dead.

Earlier reported at least 16 people were injured due to shooting opened in the Baptist church of the Texas city of Sutherland Springs on Sunday, reported local media. Sunday services in this church usually have up to 50 people.

According to local authorities, an armed man entered the building and opened fire around 10:30. As one of the witnesses said, there is a two-year-old child among the victims.

Some media reported several deaths as a result of the shooting.

According to the television channel, the police reported “about multiple victims” as a result of the incident.

According to the report, the incident occurred around 11.30 local time in the “First Baptist Church”, located in the Texas community of Sutherland Springs.

A witness at the scene reported a 2-year-old was among those who had been shot, KENS-TV reported.

Dana Fletcher, a business owner in the area, told CBS News she saw a “ton” of sheriff’s vehicles and ambulances racing down the road. She said she doesn’t know what happened but said there was heavy police presence and people being airlifted from the scene.

Police and the FBI are on scene, according to reports. Eyewitness reports as many as 20 shots fired during Sunday’s service.
