Taliban seized county in northeastern Afghanistan, 14 people died

AFGHANISTAN (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Militants of the radical Taliban movement on Friday seized a district in the northeastern part of Afghanistan, 14 people died in clashes, Ariana News reported with reference to local authorities.

According to this information, the Taliban seized the Arganj-Hwa district in the province of Badakhshan on the border with Tajikistan after 20-hour clashes with the Afghan security forces.

At least 14 Afghan security officials and members of local resistance forces became victims of the clash, and another ten people were injured.

It is noted that the militants seized part of the weapons of the Afghan security forces after their forced retreat.

According to the channel, the Taliban on Saturday reported the death of 11 Afghan security officials in the process of seizing territory.
