The attack was a response to the murder of one of the Taliban commanders Mulla Nadir, committed a few days ago by the followers of the IG.

The head of the press service of the governor of Jawzjan province Muhammad Reza Gafuri said that in response to the murder of the mullah the Taliban, 18 IS fighters were killed and seven members of the organization were captured.

“The Taliban lost two militants killed and two wounded. The clash between the two groups continues in the territory of the villages of Sardara, Mughal, which are the main bases of the IS in the Darzab district,” he said.
