UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Syrian Army forces inflicted heavy defeats on terrorist groups during their operations in northern Hama and southern Idlib.

Eight days have passed since the land, ballistic and artillery units of the Syrian Army launched with the help of Russian Resistance fighters and Russian advisers and bombers, operations to clean the northern regions. from the province of Hama and southern Idlib province.

Terrorist groups continued to break the truce in so-called de-escalation areas by launching heavy artillery attacks against Syrian forces.

Supported by the forces of Brigadier General Soheil Hassan nicknamed the Tiger, Syrian Army forces released during the operations last week a dam and 20 settlements in northern Hama and southern Idlib, extended over an area of 100 km, namely Kafr Nabudah, al-Janabah, Jabriya, al-Husn, Qalaat al-Madiq and the Afamia Dam.

According to the sources on the ground, dozens of bases, positions and weapons depots belonging to terrorist groups in the localities of al-Hobit, Kafr Nabal and in the town of Deir Sonbol were targeted and destroyed by the Syrian army.

At present Qalaat al-Madiq in the northern suburbs of Hama, is the first axis of operations of Syrian forces planning to advance to the complete liberation of the strategic plain of Sahl al-Ghab (north-west of the province of Hama) to reach the western gate of the province of Idlib and subsequently the localities of al-Qahirah, Hamidiyah, al-Mansoura, Ziyara, Kastoun, al-Amiqah, al- Huwayz and Hurra.

The route connecting the strategic locality of Kafr Nabudah to the city of Khan Sheikhoun is the second axis of operations to liberate the occupied areas of the north.

If successful, the resumption of control of the strategic city of Khan Sheikhoun by the Syrian army will have a domino effect. It will lead to the encirclement of all areas occupied by terrorists in northern Hama province. Especially since the forces deployed on the south-east axis of the province of Idlib will have the opportunity to conduct themselves jointly to Khan Cheikhoun and thus increase the pressure on terrorists.

Located on the road between Hama and Idlib, the city of Khan Sheikhoun is the largest stronghold of terrorist groups in southern Idlib, where its importance for the Syrian army comes from.

The names of several commanders, including Mohammed Abd al-Karim Kharouf and Moayed Aljaser, appear on the non-exhaustive list of victims in the ranks of the terrorist groups of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jail al-Izza.
