The Syrian Army troops are completing the siege on the Eastern Deir Ezzor city, a military source said on Wednesday, adding that the Islamic State (IS, ISIS/ISIL) group are trying to leave the city before the siege is completed, reported Fars news agency.

The source said that several groups of terrorists are leaving Deir Ezzor city for the town of Albu Kamal in the Southeastern part of the province near the border with Iraq.

“Small convoys of off-road vehicles and failed attempts to cross the Euphrates River from the Western to the Eastern bank by means of waterborne platforms were detected,” the source said the agency.
