UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Syria and its allies have opened four safe crossings exclusively for civilians in the Syrian city of Raqqa, according to a military source in the Syrian regular army.
Moreover, the same source tells us that the Syrian army succeeded, Friday, July 21, to recover the control of seven oil wells located in the southern environs of Raqqa.
Faced with the advance of the Syrian regular army supported by the Russian air force, the takfiris in desperation put under pressure the civilians of Raqqa by using them as a human shield; that is what led the Syrian government to open these four humanitarian corridors in order to bring relief and protection to this people victim of terrorist practices.
Many of the families, including women, children and the elderly, have been evacuated from Raqqa and all necessary measures have been taken for their accommodation and care, the military source said.
All the roads, exits and entrances of the city leading to Syrian army positions were mined with explosives to prevent civilians from gaining access to the liberated areas, she added.
