SYRIA (VOP TODAY NEWS) – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the killing of at least 27 civilians, including five children, in intensive air strikes against the Syrian regime forces on the city of Duma.

The observatory said the city had been hit by at least 42 air strikes.

For its part, the official SANA reported that the Syrian air force launched raids in response to the “shelling of missiles” on the “corridor of arrivals and residential suburb of Assad” in Harasta, pointing to the injury of civilians.

The strikes followed the suspension of operations to remove fighters from Duma because of internal divisions within the army of Islam, about the number of about ten thousand fighters control the Duma, whose wing rejects the hardline evacuation agreement.

“The old agreement has been suspended, and there are discussions between the Russians and the Army of Islam to reach a new settlement,” Abdul Rahman said.
