Suicide bombers storming Intercontinental Hotel in the Afghan capital Kabul

Afghan media sources have heard the sound of explosions in the vicinity of the Continental Hotel in the Afghan capital Kabul.

Witnesses said gunmen, believed to be suicide bombers, stormed into the hotel lobby.

A spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry that the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital Kabul is subjected to terrorist attacks, while heard the sound of explosions in the vicinity of the hotel.

“Three to four gunmen attacked the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Kabul and clashed with the security forces,” spokesman Najib Danesh said.

“There are no details about the identity of the militants or where they belong so far, but it is certainly among the attackers suicide bombers.”

Afghan media sources said explosions were heard around the hotel and witnesses said gunmen, believed to be suicide bombers, stormed into the lobby.
