An Islamic State (IS, ISIS/ISIL) group suicide bomb attack has killed at least 18 people in Syria’s northeastern province of Hasaka, including members of the US-backed Kurdish forces and injured many more when it targeted the displaced Syrians Thursday evening, a monitoring group reported.

“At least 18 people have been martyred who include displaced civilians from Deir Ezzor province and members of the internal security,” the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed the attack calling it a “massacre” committed against the civilians people who fled the regime-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor in the west of the province to the Kurdish-controlled areas in the east.
