UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — A drone belonging to the Riyadh-led aggression coalition was shot dead by the Yemeni army in northwestern Yemen.
Yemeni forces intercepted within a week two spy drones from the Saudi coalition west of Jabal Maaboutha in the town of Haradq, which is part of the Hajjah province in northwestern Yemen.
This is the second spy drone to be shot in a week by the Yemeni Army’s DCA and Ansarallah fighters.
Last Wednesday, in the morning, the Yemeni army intercepted a sophisticated US UAV MQ-90 over the Zamar province with a locally manufactured missile.
The Pentagon has admitted that this drone was not shot down in “international airspace”.
After this interception, Ansarallah claimed that Yemen’s enemies should know that Yemeni airspace was not “an entertainment area.”
In recent months, the Yemeni army has developed its DCA by manufacturing assault drones that have targeted the vital objectives of the Saudi coalition.
The Yemeni army viewed the drone attacks on the Saudi coalition as a response to the coalition’s assault and said “as long as the Saudi-Emirati occupation does not end, the drone attacks will continue as well”.
