Southeast of Hama: the countdown for terrorists

SYRIA – News sources reported that all efforts by the Syrian government to reestablish the truce in southeastern Hama remained sterile, prompting Syrian military intervention to clean up the southern outskirts of Hama.

The Syrian army is looking to launch a major operation to end the terrorists who are laying siege to Hama and the northern suburb of Homs.

Terrorists use these areas as a platform to launch their daily attacks on cities on the western outskirts of Salameh, particularly the districts of Taldara, Qubbat al Kurdi and Al-Kefat.

Syrian army positions in this area are considered a defensive line of the Resistance forces to defend the city of Salamyeh.

According to an information source, the Syrian army supported by the Allied forces launched a major offensive against terrorists deployed in the locality of al-Rastan located in the southeast of Hama.

The terrorists once again violated the cease-fire agreement on the de-escalation areas in Homs and attacked Syrian army positions.

Thursday, February 15 is the date on which the agreement on de-escalation zones in the suburbs of Homs will have expired. So far there has been no question of any extension.

The terrorists of the Islamic Front and the al-Nusra Front (renamed Fatah al-Ham) operating near Homs have clashed violently.

In the same vein, the Syrian army announced that it had cleared the provinces of Hama and Aleppo on Saturday, February 10, of the presence of Daesh terrorists.
