Experts are going to organize a brewery on the Red Planet, the colonization of which, according to their forecasts, could begin as early as 2024.

At the ISS, 20 grains of brewing barley will be delivered, which cosmonauts will germinate in zero-gravity conditions, the Profibeer website reports.

It is noted that the seeds will be on the orbit for a month, after which they will be sent back. On Earth, brewers will figure out how weightlessness influenced the formation of sprouts, the quality of malt and the taste of the beer obtained.

It is assumed that the results of the experiment can be used not only for the production of beer on Mars, but also for brewing on Earth.

Earlier, AB InBev during the conference SXSW reported that it was going to organize a brewery on Mars, the colonization of which, according to scientists, could begin as early as 2024.
