UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Scientists have found that consumption of dairy products has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system, according to the portal Food News.
The researchers concluded that along with milk, meat and healthy high-fat foods are also good for the heart.
“Our results show that dairy products are good for heart health and contribute to longevity. This is different from the current recommendations of nutritionists,” says one of the authors, Salim Yusuf, from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.
The research team conducted a study involving 218 thousand people from more than 50 countries. Patients were divided into five groups depending on the composition of their diet.
It turned out that the participants who ate a lot of fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, fish, meat and dairy products, had the lowest risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and premature death.
