Saudi-led coalition targets local market in Yemen

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The Saudi army shelled a market in Qatabar town in Sa’ada province in northern Yemen killing and injuring dozens of people.

According to the report of the Al Mayadeen chain, 13 bodies have so far been eradicated from the rubble. In this attack, 23 Yemenis including 11 children were wounded report local sources.

Because of its proximity to the Saudi border, Sa’ada province is attacked daily by fighter planes and artillery from the Saudi-led aggression coalition.

“The Saudi coalition committed this crime after the Yemeni fighters fired a Badr-F missile at its base,” said Yemeni armed forces spokesman General Yahya Saria.

“The Yemeni armed forces will respond to this crime. We are strengthening our capacity to better respond to the aggressions of the enemy,” said General Saria.

The provinces of Hajjah in the north and al-Hudaydah in western Yemen have also been attacked by the aviation and artillery aggression coalition. And this, while the Stockholm agreement on a cease-fire also applies to the province of al-Hudaydah.

One person was killed and 5 others injured in al-Mina’a town in al-Hudaydah province.
