UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — New S-400 anti-aircraft and missile defense systems have been deployed in the Kaliningrad region, the most westerly part of Russia, to protect its airspace.
In the most western part of Russia, the Kaliningrad region, anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems S-400 are now deployed, according to the press service of the Russian Baltic Fleet.
The systems arrived at their point of permanent deployment from the Kapustin Yar Polygon in the Astrakhan area after initial firing, which is mandatory in this case. After the solemn ceremony, the S-400 manpower agreed to protect the airspace of the Russian enclave.
Previously, it was announced that in 2019 two S-400 Triumph and ten Pantsir-S systems would be delivered to Russian troops.
The S-400 Triumph is the most modern Russian anti-aircraft and missile defense system, capable of destroying ground targets if necessary. The range of missiles on the S-400 exceeds 400 km, and they can reach an altitude of 30 km.
