Russia’s regulator seeks an explanation from Instagram about leaking data

UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Russia’s Interfax news agency quoted Alexander Garov, head of Russia’s communications watchdog, as saying on Thursday that the agency had formally asked Instagram to explain reports of a massive leak of data on the social network last month.

“We sent a request and we have not received a response yet,” Garov said.
