Diplomats from Russia and the United States are likely to hold the next round of consultations on North Korea in Moscow at an unspecified date, the Russian news agency Tass quoted Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov as saying on Saturday.
He said a North Korean delegation would visit Moscow before the start of the Winter Olympics next month.
Morgulov told the news agency that he had sent an invitation for talks to Joseph Yoon, US special representative for North Korea’s policies.
The talks on North Korea’s missile program and its nuclear ambitions come amid accusations from US President Donald Trump that Moscow is helping Pyongyang defuse international sanctions, a claim Russia denies.
