Qatar denied that its fighters had intercepted an Emirati civilian plane en route to Manama on Monday.
The channel Al Jazeera quoted an official in the Foreign Ministry denied the circulation of the official media in the United Arab Emirates, on the objection of fighter aircraft to a civilian plane.
The Emirates News Agency reported on Monday that the General Authority of Civil Aviation received on Monday morning a message from a national airline, stating that “one of its aircraft during its normal flight to Manama and during its flight in the usual tracks, was intercepted by Qatari fighters in a flagrant threat dangerous to the safety of civil aviation and a clear violation of international laws and conventions.”
Qatar filed a complaint last week against the United Nations against the UAE, informing it that an Emirati military plane had penetrated Qatar’s airspace earlier this month after a similar incident in December.
