The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority said on Monday that fighter aircraft belonging to the Qatari air force intercepted a second civil aircraft as it landed at Bahrain International Airport.
The Authority added that the aircraft intercepted was on a regular scheduled and known route, and meet the approvals and permits necessary and internationally recognized.
The Commission considered the incident a serious and renewed breach of international conventions and the safety of the movement of civil aircraft.
It added that it was studying the legal options available to General Civil Aviation Authority and other relevant organizations.
