Powerful magnitude 7.3 earthquake hits near the coast of Peru

An earthquake of magnitude 7.3 occurred near the coast of Peru, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

Underground shocks were recorded at 4.18 local time 31 kilometers south-west of the Akari settlement and 19 kilometers from the town of Yauka. The hearth of the earthquake lay at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There have been no reports of casualties and destruction yet.
