UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — More than two-thirds of citizens are confident that their country is moving in the wrong direction, according to an opinion poll conducted by the Ukrainian social group Ritting.
According to the results of the poll announced Tuesday, 69% of the citizens surveyed believe that their country is going in the wrong direction, while 16% oppose them.
The survey found that the majority of the disgruntled on the policy of their country, the people of the south (79%) and east (75%), and the majority of the center (63%) and the West (64%) Ukraine sees the same idea.
At the same time, those who do not support the current course of the country make up the vast majority of all age groups without exception.
According to the same poll, citizens who reject the country’s policy are planning to support opposition candidates in the upcoming presidential election on March 31, and only supporters of incumbent President Pietro Poroshenko believe the country is heading in the right direction.
The survey was conducted from 9 to 15 March, with 2,500 people over the age of 18 asking questions in person, with an error rate of less than 2%.
