UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The Israeli military have detected the launch of a Palestinian rocket from the Gaza Strip, the army press service said.

The second shelling of the week was, according to preliminary data, without victims and material damage.

“One launch was recorded from the Gaza Strip in the direction of Israel,” the military said.

About the response is not reported. The Israelis usually respond to Palestinian shelling by attacking militant targets from the Islamic movement Hamas, blaming it for any aggressive actions from the territory under its control.

The shelling was preceded by another series of thousands of Palestinian protests on the borders of the Gaza Strip. In clashes with the Israeli military killed one resident of the enclave, over 40 were injured.
