Palestine will terminate all agreements with Israel

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas decided to terminate all agreements signed with Israel, the WAFA news agency reported.

The initiative, the actual extent and consequences of which are still unclear, was a reaction to the recent demolition by the Israelis of the Palestinian village of Wadi Hummus in the vicinity of Jerusalem.

“The leadership of Palestine has decided to terminate all agreements signed with the Israeli side,” Abbas quoted the WAFA as saying.

“We will not compromise our rights under violence, especially in Jerusalem,” he said.

Earlier, the Palestinian leadership requested a discussion of the situation with Wadi Hummus in the UN Security Council and announced its intention to refer the matter to the International Criminal Court.
