UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The head of the British government, Theresa May, on Tuesday evening confirmed that on March 13, the deputies of the House of Commons will be able to vote on the possibility of the country leaving the European community without a deal with the EU.
The Prime Minister made this statement after parliamentarians for the second time rejected the draft agreement with Brussels on the conditions of Brexit.
“Two weeks ago, standing at the same place, I made several promises regarding what steps would be taken if the chamber rejected the proposed deal. I intend to fully adhere to the promises made. the question of whether the chamber supports withdrawal from the EU without a deal on March 29,” said May.
The head of government also confirmed that if parliamentarians rejected the possibility of Brexit without a deal, then on March 14, the question of the need to postpone the withdrawal of the country from the EU from March 29 to a later date will be put to a vote in the House of Commons.
