Official website: Iran says tanker accidents have not affected its oil exports

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Iran’s crude exports have yet to be affected by recent tanker accidents in the Gulf, Iran’s oil minister said on Sunday.

“Oil tankers and oil exports are one of the issues in which we have restrictions, and the United States and its allies have caused us restrictions and we should be careful,” the Oil Ministry’s information website quoted Zangane as saying.

Britain called Iran’s seizure of the Gulf’s “Stena Empero” carrier on Friday a “hostile act” and refused to explain Tehran had detained the carrier because of its involvement in an accident.
