UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The number of casualties among Palestinians as a result of Israeli strikes against the Gaza Strip has increased to 31, Al-Hadath TV channel reports on Monday.

Previously reported 27 dead. According to the Ministry of Health of the coastal enclave, among those killed are three women and two children aged four and nine months, as well as a one and a half year old child. About 160 residents of the sector received injuries of varying severity.

According to incoming information, rescuers continue to remove the body from under the rubble of buildings destroyed in raids. As the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of the Sector informed earlier, 130 housing units were completely destroyed in the blows, partly about 700.

The situation around Gaza sharply worsened after Friday night Palestinian radicals fired Israeli soldiers with sniper rifles, two of them were injured. Then the aircraft eliminated three attackers, after which the groups began launching rockets across the territory of the Jewish state, which responded with massive bombardment of the enclave.

Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that more than 350 targets, including radical leaders and their infrastructure, were attacked in the sector in two days.
