The recent missile firing by North Korea was observed from the plane by a crew of the airline Cathay Pacific. The flight was not disturbed.
On a flight from San Francisco, a crew of the Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific would have seen Wednesday the North Korean missile enter the atmosphere, reports CNN.
The pilots reportedly informed authorities, air sector organizations and other airlines, but the journey was continued.
“Despite the fact that the flight was far from the firing point, the crew warned the Japanese air traffic control service, according to the procedures,” reads a statement from the company. The flight continued however normally.
On November 29, Pyongyang announced that it has successfully tested a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile.
According to the North Korean authorities, the Hwasong-15 missile is capable of carrying a large nuclear charge and could reach any target in the United States.
