The nuclear potential of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has almost equaled that of the United States, North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song Hee said.
“Our ultimate goal is to achieve a balance, with the United States so they do not dare to talk about any military actions against the DPRK,” said Choi Song Hee, speaking at the Moscow Non-Proliferation Conference.
According to Choi Song Hee, possession of nuclear weapons for Pyongyang is a matter of “life and death.”
“The current situation strengthens us in our understanding that we need nuclear weapons in order to repel a possible attack,” the diplomat added.
Tsoi Song Hee noted that the DPRK is living under constant threat from the United States.
