NATO: Russian fighter jets carried out unsafe maneuvers over the Baltic

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Russian fighter jets carried out an unsafe maneuver and intercepted NATO aircraft over the Baltic Sea on Tuesday, NATO spokeswoman Una Longescu said on Wednesday.

This came during a comment on the question of Anatolia about the crisis of aircraft between Russia and NATO.

The Longescu that the alliance spotted yesterday two “Su-27” Russian escorts accompanying the Russian plane “TU-214” near its airspace over the Baltic Sea.

“There was a valid flight plan for the Russian TU-214, but the Su-27 fighter planes did not appear in the plan.

“Accordingly, two planes of the NATO Baltic Observation Mission in the Baltic have routinely flown to identify the air media.”

Longescu stressed that NATO does not have official information about the person who was inside the Russian plane “TU-214”.
