Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah denied US charges of involvement in the drug trade, saying it was “unjust fabrications and not based on facts.”

The Secretary-General of the Lebanese “Hezbollah”, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, denied the recent US accusations about the party’s involvement in the drug trade, pointing out that the accusations were aimed at distorting Hezbollah.

“In terms of the formation of the US Justice Department, a committee to investigate the involvement of Hezbollah in the drug trade, I would like to stress unequivocally that these are unjust and not based on any facts,” Nasrallah said in a televised speech on Friday.

“Hezbollah, in this regard, has a very clear legal and moral position, which is to ban the drug trade even in the Israeli enemy communities.”

He also pointed out that “Hezbollah has no money to invest in any place and does not have any projects.”
