Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah has refuted US accusations that the party is involved in drug trafficking, saying it is aimed at the party’s tragedy.
“The Americans want to present Hezbollah as a criminal organization that deals with drugs, car theft and banditry. We reject this accusation and have no dust,” Nasrallah said at a memorial service. “They have to see themselves … they are involved in the drug trade.”
Nasrallah added: “The accusations on the subject of drugs are fabrications and Hezbollah has a religious position, that drug trafficking is haraam and accusations come in the context of the war against us.”
