UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The Mars rover Curiosity discovered an unknown object on the surface of the red planet, resembling a piece of native metal, reports a blog on the official website of NASA, on the mission Curiosity.
An unknown brilliant object, already named after Little Colonsay in honor of the eponymous island in the north of Scotland , was spotted on one of the recent images taken by the Mars rover Curiosity.

“One of the samples we are trying to identify better is Little Colonsay . The planning team assumes that it could be a meteorite, because this object is brilliant,” says Dr. Susanne Schwenzer.
